Our Mission

Bridging academic learning and real-world analysis.

The mission of McGill Markets Review (MMR) is to give McGill students practical opportunities to develop their understanding of financial markets, investment analysis, and equity research, bridging academic learning and real-world analysis through hands-on research and stock pitches. Junior Analysts receive guidance from Senior Analysts, helping members become more informed, confident participants in financial markets.

Our History

A growing student-led research organization.

McGill Markets Review (MMR) was founded to give McGill students a dedicated platform for financial markets, investment research, and macroeconomic analysis, moving beyond classroom theory into hands-on research. Since then, MMR has grown into a student-led organization built around analyst training, mentorship, and professional development, including workshops, speaker events, and networking opportunities.

What We Stand For

Our Values

Rigor

We hold our research to the same standard as institutional publications: every thesis is challenged, sourced, and edited before it goes out.

Accessibility

Markets can feel intimidating from the outside. We write to make them understandable to any McGill student, regardless of background.

Community

We are a club before we are a publication. Our members learn from each other as much as they learn from the markets.
